Is a lohi the same as a pashmina shawl?

How warm is pure wool compared to pashmina?

A wool lohi is heavier and very warm — arguably better for rough outdoor use. Pashmina gives equal warmth at a third of the weight, which is what you pay for.

Can it be machine-washed?

Use a wool cycle at your own caution, but hand-washing cold or dry-cleaning keeps the nap and size true far longer. Always dry flat.
