From the Changthang plateau,
by hand, to you.
House of Pashmina is a Jaipur-based house devoted to one fibre: true Kashmir pashmina. We work directly with weaving families in Srinagar and Changpa herder co-operatives in Ladakh — no middlemen, no mystery blends. Every pure pashmina piece is GI-certified, hand-spun and handwoven from 12–16 micron Changthangi goat down, and every piece we sell is labeled exactly for what it is.

Woven in Srinagar, one loom at a time.
Pashmina begins high in Ladakh, where Changpa herders comb the winter undercoat of the Changthangi goat each spring. That raw pashm travels to Srinagar, where the families we partner with hand-spin it on the yinder (spinning wheel) and weave it on wooden handlooms — the same craft, passed down for over five hundred years. A single shawl can take weeks on the loom; a sozni-embroidered or kani piece, many months.
Real pashmina, honestly labeled.
The word “pashmina” is abused everywhere — viscose scarves and machine-made wool are sold under the name every day. We refuse to play that game. Every piece in our catalogue carries one of three honest labels: PURE (100% pashmina, GI-certified, handwoven), SEMI (a pashmina blend with the exact ratio disclosed) or WOOL (100% fine wool — and we say so). A semi pashmina or wool piece is never, ever sold to you as pure pashmina.
Three rules of the house.
Pure pieces carry the Kashmir Pashmina GI mark — verified handloom origin
Hand-spun Changthangi fibre of 12–16 microns, with a certificate of authenticity
Blends and wool are always disclosed — never sold as pure pashmina
